EMS Max has been voted by RealSelf patients as ‘The Most Worth-It Treatment in 2020 & 2021’
EMS Max is a treatment that has been gaining some traction over the last few years, we first heard about it in 2017, though at the time we weren’t sure on its credibility as many procedures feature at yearly Aesthetic expo’s that we don’t see again. Also, we come from the health and fitness world so we’re always going to be worst critics for a treatment of this kind with such high claims.
Basically, the original treatment claimed to offer an increase in muscle tissue through thousands of involuntary muscle contractions. This was called EMS or ‘Electromagnetic Muscle Stimulation’. Like most procedures in Aesthetics and like technology as a whole, it moves on with time and becomes more advanced.

Duration of treatment:
30 minutes
No real discomfort as such, the intensity that the treatment is performed at will be based on an individual’s tolerance. People with minimal body fat usually wont be able to handle the maximum treatment settings for the entire treatment duration. As a rule thumb, the higher the intensity settings the better the results.
Pregnancy & breast feeding, implanted medical devices (pacemakers etc) and women who have metal-based IUD (intrauterine device), such as copper IUD.
1 = There is no downtime with EMS Max however you may experience some muscle soreness on the treated area. We advise not to work out that body part the day before the treatment or the day after.
Up to 30% localised fat reduction and 25% gain in lean muscle tissue, also has proven to be very effective for separation of the abdomen (diastasis recti).
Fat Reduction, muscle gain and Bum lift.

What is EMS Max?
New for 2022 EMS Max is FDA approved and uses 2 technologies together (EMS & EMT) to offer an increase in muscle cell volume (contractile proteins and tissue fibres) whilst providing a reduction in body fat. Now, this no easy feat so how does this work?
2 different currents working at different depths at the same time, 1 working at the subcutaneous fat layer and 1 working on the deep muscle tissue layer. This process is called HIFEM-PT and it stands for: High Intensity Focused Electro – Magnetic Performance Technology. The electromagnetic field creates motor neuron pulses in 100% of the targeted muscle cell and tissue fibres. Thousands of involuntary contractions are performed in minutes resulting in significant muscle hypertrophy (development). In the micro-second intervals between the electromagnetic contractions the alternate frequencies work on the subcutaneous fat layer resulting in apoptosis of adipose tissue within each cell (death of each cell).
After Results
The result of this is an increase in muscle cell volume and subsequent drop in body fat of a targeted area. It is also noted that an upward shift in your metabolism is possible and quite likely, the more muscle you have the higher your metabolic rate (as a general rule).
This procedure will feature alongside our other body treatments that are the Lipofirm Pro (Cellulite reduction and Skin tightening) and Cryolipolysis (Fat freezing). Our extensive background in the health and fitness industry put us in a brilliant position to offer this procedure in the most comprehensive way possible. Every client that has this procedure will also get a full InBody 270 analysis which will give a clear indication to the before and after results through a segmental fat and muscle tissue breakdown.
