EMS Max has been voted by RealSelf patients as ‘The Most Worth-It Treatment in 2020 & 2021’
EMS Max treatment in Eastbourne
EMS Max is a treatment that has been gaining attention in recent years; we first heard about it in 2017, though we were sceptical at the time because many procedures featured at yearly Aesthetic expos are never seen again. Also, because we’re from the health and fitness world, we’ll always be the harshest critics of a treatment with such lofty claims.
Essentially, the original treatment stated that thousands of involuntary muscular contractions would result in an increase in muscle tissue, this is known as EMS, or ‘Electromagnetic Muscle Stimulation’.

Duration of treatment:
30 minutes
No real discomfort as such, the intensity that the treatment is performed at will be based on an individual’s tolerance. People with minimal body fat usually wont be able to handle the maximum treatment settings for the entire treatment duration. As a rule thumb, the higher the intensity settings the better the results.
Pregnancy & breast feeding, implanted medical devices (pacemakers etc) and women who have metal-based IUD (intrauterine device), such as copper IUD.
1 = There is no downtime with EMS Max however you may experience some muscle soreness on the treated area. We advise not to work out that body part the day before the treatment or the day after.
Up to 30% localised fat reduction and 25% gain in lean muscle tissue, also has proven to be very effective for separation of the abdomen (diastasis recti).

What is EMS Max & How Does It Work?
For the year 2022, something new has been added. EMS Max is FDA authorised and combines two technologies (EMS and EMT) to increase muscle cell volume (contractile proteins and tissue fibres) while also reducing body fat. This is no easy task, so how does it work?
At the same moment, two distinct currents are acting at separate depths, one on the subcutaneous fat layer and the other on the deep muscular tissue layer. HIFEM-PT stands for High Intensity Focused Electro – Magnetic Performance Technology, and it is the name of the procedure. Motor neuron pulses are generated in 100 percent of the targeted muscle cells and tissue fibres by the electromagnetic field. In minutes, thousands of involuntary contractions occur, resulting in considerable muscular hypertrophy (development). The alternate frequencies work on the subcutaneous fat layer in the micro-second intervals between electromagnetic contractions, causing apoptosis of adipose tissue within each cell (death of each cell).

Results
This leads to an increase in muscle cell volume and, as a result, a reduction in body fat in the targeted area. It’s also worth noting that an upward change in your metabolism is feasible, and that the more muscle you have, the higher your metabolic rate will almost certainly be (as a general rule).
This procedure will be offered with Lipofirm Pro (Cellulite removal and skin tightening) and Cryolipolysis, two other body procedures (Fat freezing). Because of our considerable experience in the health and fitness industry, we are uniquely qualified to provide this therapy in the most complete manner possible. Every customer who undergoes this surgery will also receive a full InBody 270 examination, which will provide a clear indicator of the before and after results by breaking down fat and muscle tissue in segments.
